The government of Fiji is introducing significant tax benefits to support two primary sports ventures. Donors who contribute above $10,000 towards Fiji’s bid to host the 2031 Pacific Games will be eligible for a 200% tax deduction. Likewise, a 200% tax reduction is also available for contributions surpassing $250,000 that supports Fiji’s attempt to join the National Rugby League (NRL). Furthermore, if Fiji’s bid to join the NRL is successful, the managing organization will be granted a 13-year tax holiday and duty concessions, mirroring benefits offered to the Fijian Drua.
