Ifereimi Rawaqa, the interim head coach of the Fijian Drua women’s team, is set to announce his squad for the 2025 Super W on January 6. Rawaqa plans to select a roster of 35 players as he prepares the team for their upcoming matches.
Among the anticipated players are familiar faces, including former national sevens captain Rusila Nagasau, and 2022 Drua squad members Timaima Ravisa and Kolora Lomani, all of whom have been spotted in training.
The Fijian Drua women will kick off their season by facing the Waratahs on February 28 at Allianz Stadium in Sydney. Following that, they will host the Reds and the Brumbies at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on March 8 and March 15, respectively. Their Round 4 match will see them compete against the Western Force at HBF Park in Perth, Australia. The semi-finals are set for April 2, with the championship match scheduled for April 12.
As the team prepares for the season, the excitement around the squad’s development and the return of key players bodes well for fans. The upcoming matches provide a platform for the players to showcase their skills and for the team to build upon their previous experiences, promising an engaging and competitive season ahead.
