Fijian Drua Women’s Super W Squad Set to Launch January 6

Ifereimi Rawaqa, the interim head coach for the Fijian Drua women’s team, is set to announce his roster for the 2025 Super W season on January 6. Rawaqa plans to assemble a pool of 35 players as he prepares the team for the upcoming challenges.

Among the athletes training with the squad are notable figures such as former national sevens captain Rusila Nagasau, alongside returning members from the 2022 Drua squad, Timaima Ravisa and Kolora Lomani. This mix of experienced players and returning talent reflects a strong foundation as the team gears up for competition.

The Fijian Drua women’s squad will begin their season against the Waratahs on February 28 at Allianz Stadium in Sydney. Following this, they will host matches against the Reds and Brumbies at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on March 8 and March 15, respectively. They are also scheduled to face the Western Force at HBF Park in Perth during Round 4. The route to the finals includes semi-finals set for April 2 and a championship match on April 12, highlighting a competitive season ahead.

This upcoming season holds promise for the Fijian Drua women’s team, blending veteran leadership with fresh talent, which could lead to exciting performances and opportunities for advancement in the tournament. Their journey will not only be a showcase of talent but also a chance for them to build a stronger identity in women’s rugby in Fiji.
