Fijian Drua women’s interim head coach Ifereimi Rawaqa is set to announce his squad for the 2025 Super W competition on January 6. Rawaqa plans to select a roster comprising 35 players for the upcoming season.

Among the athletes training with the squad are some well-known figures from the rugby scene, including former national sevens captain Rusila Nagasau and 2022 Drua players Timaima Ravisa and Kolora Lomani. Their experience is expected to benefit the team’s dynamics as they prepare for the matches ahead.

The Fijian Drua women’s team will kick off their season against the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on February 28. Following this, they will have back-to-back home games at Lautoka’s Churchill Park against the Reds on March 8 and the Brumbies on March 15. They will also travel to Perth to face the Western Force in Round 4.

The semi-finals are set for April 2, culminating in the championship final on April 12.

This season provides an exciting opportunity for the Fijian Drua women. With an experienced coaching staff and a mix of returning and new talent, fans can look forward to a competitive and engaging series of matches in the upcoming Super W tournament. The commitment and preparation displayed by the team are laudable, and it promises to bolster women’s rugby in Fiji.
