The 2025 Super Rugby Women’s competition has unveiled an exciting schedule featuring the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women, who will host two matches at home. Aiming for a top two finish in the regular season, the Drua Women could potentially play a semi-final in Fiji, heightening local excitement for the tournament.

This season marks a significant milestone with the introduction of the Super Rugby Champions final, where the champions from Super Rugby W will clash with the victors of New Zealand’s Super Rugby Aupiki. Highlighting the calendar, the Drua Women will face the Reds in a special double-header event on March 8, which coincides with International Women’s Day. This match at Churchill Park in Lautoka will begin at 1.05 PM, followed by the Drua Men competing against the Chiefs at 3.30 PM.

On March 15, the Drua Women will take on the formidable Brumbies Women in a standalone afternoon match. Prior to their home games, the Drua kick off their campaign against the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on February 28 and will complete their regular season against the Western Force in Perth on March 23.

The Super Rugby W semi-finals are set for the weekend of April 5, with the top two teams hosting, while the Grand Final is scheduled for April 12. Additionally, the crossover final between the champions of Super Rugby W and Super Rugby Aupiki will occur on April 17.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans expressed confidence in returning to the championship podium, highlighting their previous successes with titles in 2022 and 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2024. He acknowledged that the team is currently in a rebuilding phase, with new coaching and facility investments aimed at enhancing player development and preparation.

Evans emphasized the importance of community support, stating, “Hosting two matches in Fiji is great for our fans, who will be ready to cheer for their Drua teams.” The International Women’s Day match brings additional excitement, and plans are underway to create a special atmosphere for fans on this notable date.

In summary, the 2025 season presents a promising journey for the Fijian Drua Women, as they embrace new opportunities while fostering growth within their program, with the enthusiastic backing of their community.
