The Fijian Drua has officially announced the appointment of Josefa Vanuaca as its new Head of Sales, a role specifically created to combine the club’s previously distinct departments of Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing. This transition follows the departure of Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, who have pursued new opportunities.

Vanuaca arrives at the Fijian Drua with over 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management. He possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. Before joining the Drua, he was with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Shane Hussein, the General Manager of Commercial for the Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s addition during this growth phase of the club. Vanuaca is expected to enhance ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services while working closely with the Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, Angie Lal, to ensure an accessible and enjoyable experience for fans and corporate clients. Hussein also acknowledged the significant contributions of Tadranu and Burnes during the club’s foundational phase.

Expressing his excitement, Vanuaca shared that joining the Fijian Drua is a personal milestone, particularly as Super Rugby Pacific has been an integral part of his life since childhood. He sees this opportunity as a proud moment for his family.

In anticipation of the new season, tickets and hospitality packages for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s home games for the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season are now available. The Drua’s inaugural match is scheduled against the Brumbies on February 15 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

This strategic appointment and the club’s proactive approach to expanding its revenue sources reflect a commendable commitment to growth and fan engagement. It sets a positive tone for the upcoming season, mirroring the hope and excitement the community has for the Drua’s future performances in the league.
