The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has officially appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the Head of Sales, a new position within the club that consolidates the previously distinct areas of Ticketing and Hospitality, as well as Sponsorship Servicing.
Vanuaca comes to the Drua with an extensive background in business development, boasting over 15 years of experience in finance and project management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Information Systems, in addition to a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. His prior role was with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the country’s agency for international business development.
Shane Hussein, the General Manager of Commercial for the Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s arrival, noting that the club is in a prime position for growth. The Drua is actively looking to diversify its revenue sources while improving ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services. “Fans are at the center of everything we do in the Drua back office,” Hussein emphasized. Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Angie Lal, Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, to enhance accessibility for fans and corporate clients at Drua events.
