The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the new Head of Sales, a position that integrates the previously separate areas of Ticketing, Hospitality, and Sponsorship Servicing. Vanuaca arrives with over 15 years of experience in business development and project management, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change.

Before joining the Fijian Drua, he worked for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the country’s international business development agency. Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial, Shane Hussein, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s appointment, highlighting the timing as the club explores new revenue streams while enhancing its fan services. Hussein emphasized that fans remain at the core of the Drua’s operations and noted that Vanuaca will collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, Angie Lal, to improve accessibility for fans and corporate clients.

Vanuaca expressed his excitement about the role, sharing that joining the Fijian Drua is a dream come true, particularly as Super Rugby Pacific has been a significant part of his upbringing. He shared this proud moment with his family, marking a personal achievement.
