The Fijian Drua has announced the appointment of Josefa Vanuaca as the new Head of Sales, a role that consolidates the club’s Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing into one position. Previously, these roles were occupied by Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, who have since moved on to pursue other opportunities.

Josefa Vanuaca comes to the Drua with more than 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce focusing on Accounting and Information Systems, alongside a postgraduate diploma in Climate Change. Before joining the Drua, Vanuaca worked at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Shane Hussein, the Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s arrival during this pivotal growth phase for the club. He emphasized that the Drua is in the process of developing additional revenue streams while improving its services related to ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorships. Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Angie Lal, Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, to ensure that events are accessible and well-managed for fans and corporate clients. Hussein also acknowledged the contributions of Tadranu and Burnes during the club’s establishment phase.

Vanuaca expressed his excitement about joining the Drua, stating that being part of Super Rugby Pacific is a lifelong dream and a point of pride for his family.

Fans can already purchase tickets and hospitality packages for the home games of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season, with the first match set to be against the Brumbies on February 15 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

This appointment signifies a promising step forward for the Fijian Drua as it aims to enhance its engagement with fans and drive growth. With Vanuaca’s background and the organization’s proactive approach, the club is well-positioned for an exciting future in the Super Rugby landscape.
