The Fijian Drua has officially appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the club’s new Head of Sales, a position that combines the previously distinct roles of Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing. This strategic move comes after the exit of incumbents Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, who have pursued other career opportunities.

Vanuaca brings over 15 years of extensive experience in business development, finance, and project management to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. His previous position was with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Shane Hussein, the General Manager of Commercial for Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s arrival, noting the club’s phase of significant growth. “Josefa joins us during a pivotal time as we explore new revenue streams and improve our ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services,” he stated. “He will collaborate closely with our Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, Angie Lal, to make every event easily accessible for fans and corporate clients alike.”

In his response, Vanuaca shared his excitement about joining the team. “Receiving the call to be a part of the Fijian Drua filled me with pride and joy,” he said. “Super Rugby Pacific has been a significant part of my life, and now to partake in this journey is a dream realized for my family and me.”

Tickets and hospitality packages for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s home games during the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season are now available. The season kicks off with a match against the Brumbies on February 15 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

This development signifies the Fijian Drua’s commitment to enhancing fan experiences and expanding its operational capabilities, paving the way for a successful future in the Super Rugby Pacific league. With the right leadership in place, the Drua is well-positioned to engage with its fan base and thrive in the competitive sports landscape.
