The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the Club’s Head of Sales, a newly created position that merges the previously distinct roles of Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing. With over 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management, Vanuaca is well-equipped for this role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, specializing in Accounting and Information Systems, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change.
Prior to joining the Fijian Drua, Vanuaca worked with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the country’s international business development agency. Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial, Shane Hussein, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s timing, highlighting that the team is in a phase of growth and is actively looking to diversify revenue while improving ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services for the fans.
Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, Angie Lal, to ensure that Drua events are accessible and enjoyable for both fans and corporate clients. He expressed his excitement about the position, acknowledging the significance of Super Rugby Pacific in his childhood and viewing his role with the Fijian Drua as a dream come true.
