The Fijian Drua has officially appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the Club’s Head of Sales, a newly established position that combines ticketing with hospitality and sponsorship servicing. This role comes after the previous holders, Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, transitioned to other opportunities.

Vanuaca brings with him more than 15 years of expertise in business development, finance, and project management. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. Before joining the Drua, he worked with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Shane Hussein, General Manager Commercial of Fijian Drua, expressed optimism about Vanuaca’s appointment, highlighting the club’s current growth phase. He remarked that the Drua is actively seeking new revenue streams and is committed to enhancing its ticketing and hospitality services. Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Angie Lal, Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, ensuring that all Drua events are accessible to fans and clients alike. As Hussein welcomed Vanuaca to the team, he also expressed gratitude to Tadranu and Burnes for their foundational contributions to the club.

Vanuaca shared his personal excitement about joining the Drua, stating that being part of Super Rugby Pacific holds great significance for him, having cherished it since childhood. This new position is not just a career milestone for him but also a proud moment for his family.

Tickets and hospitality packages for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s home games in the upcoming 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season are already available for purchase. The season will kick off with a match against the Brumbies on February 15 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

This development reflects the Fijian Drua’s commitment to enhancing its fan experience and underscores the club’s strategic focus on growth and community engagement. Vanuaca’s experience may usher in innovative approaches to revenue generation and provide fans with even better experiences at games. The enthusiasm within the organization sets a promising tone for the upcoming season.

Overall, this is an exciting time for the Fijian Drua as they move forward into a new chapter while enriching their offerings for their supporters.
