The Fijian Drua has appointed Josaia Moimoi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Shafina Dean, who has left for New Zealand to further her education. Moimoi, originally from Vanuabalavu in Lau, boasts over 10 years of financial services experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management, along with qualifications in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University in Hawaii. Prior to joining the Drua, he worked as a Financial Management Specialist at the U.S. Embassy.
Mark Evans, the CEO of Fijian Drua, expressed confidence in Moimoi’s capabilities, highlighting the extensive recruitment process that drew strong candidates from both local and international backgrounds. He acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing CFO, Shafina Dean.
