Fijian Drua Signs Promising Young Talents for 2025 Season

The Fijian Drua has announced the signing of national under-20 representatives Breyton Legge and John Muller to join the club’s Development program for the upcoming 2025 season. This Development program serves as a crucial pathway for emerging talent to progress into the main Super Rugby Pacific squad.

Breyton Legge, a loosehead prop, has made nine appearances for the Fiji Under 20 team since 2022 and recently competed in the U20 World Rugby Championship held in South Africa. Expressing his enthusiasm, Legge stated, “It feels great. I’ve always dreamed of playing for my country and playing in the Super Rugby competition.”

John Muller also brings valuable experience, having played for Fiji at the U20 World Cup in 2021 and being part of the Fiji Warriors team that triumphed in the Pacific Rugby Cup in 2023. This season, he served as the captain for the Northland rugby team in the local provincial competition. Muller shared his excitement, saying, “It is a dream come true and I am very grateful for the opportunity to join the Fijian Drua. I can’t wait to start training with the team.”

Regarding the arrival of the two new players, Fijian Drua Development and Skills Coach Ifereimi Rawaqa commented, “Both Legge and Muller were part of Fiji Rugby’s HPU program, and I’m pleased to see their progression into Drua Development. They add important depth to our props.” He further noted, “Legge is a skilled player and a quick learner, while Muller is hardworking and brings aggression in both attack and defence. With further professional development through Drua, I am confident the boys will progress to the next level.”

In recent years, several Development players have successfully transitioned to earn Super Rugby Pacific contracts, including Livai Natave, Philip Baselala, Taniela Rakuro, Motikiai Murray, Mesake Vocevoce, and Sikeli Rabitu.
