The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have announced a significant partnership with Silver Ferns, which will provide the club with official training equipment in preparation for the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season. This collaboration promises to enhance the team’s readiness as they gear up for what is expected to be a pivotal season.

According to Head Coach Glen Jackson, the partnership is a valuable opportunity for the Drua. He expressed gratitude for Silver Fern’s support, highlighting their past contributions, including a successful initiative that involved distributing free rugby balls in collaboration with Rebel Sports. Jackson emphasized the importance of having Silver Fern as a supplier of essential training gear such as hit shields, tackle suits, and tackle machines.

Kent Rae, the Managing Director of Silver Fern, echoed the excitement surrounding the partnership, which will span five years. He stated how eager they are to supply the Drua with high-quality equipment, bringing the latest innovations in rugby gear to the players and coaches. Rae noted that their previous engagements with the team, particularly during a community event where they donated rugby balls, have cemented a strong connection that made the partnership a natural progression.

This partnership also aligns with Silver Fern’s commitment to fostering rugby at the grassroots level, as demonstrated during a recent event where they provided over 20 rugby balls to young athletes competing in a local tournament between Nadi Rugby Union and Ba Rugby Union. Such initiatives highlight their dedication to nurturing talent and promoting the sport within the community.

Overall, the alliance between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Silver Ferns is poised to make a positive impact as the team prepares for the upcoming season, reinforcing their commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
