The Fijian Drua rugby team has announced an exciting partnership with Australia’s renowned sunglass brand, Carve. This collaboration comes through the Drua’s existing relationship with Jack’s of Fiji, which will see all players and staff equipped with premium Carve sunglasses as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 Shop n Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
Shane Hussein, General Manager Commercial for the Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it represents a wonderful addition to their ongoing relationship with Jack’s of Fiji. He highlighted that the Carve sunglasses will not only enhance the appearance of the players but also provide valuable protection against the intense western sun, whether they are training or engaging with the community.
Matt Whyte, Director at White Room International, also shared his excitement about becoming the official sunglass sponsor for the Drua, reflecting on his affection for Fiji as a second home. Whyte emphasized that this partnership is his way of giving back to the Fijian people, who have welcomed him warmly throughout his numerous visits.
Nikul Khatri, Director of Jack’s of Fiji, noted the significance of Carve’s entry as the official sunglasses sponsor for the Drua. He praised Carve for its reputation in the eyewear market for offering stylish, high-performance, and affordable products, aligning well with the values of the Drua brand both in Fiji and internationally.
This partnership represents not just a business arrangement, but a meaningful connection between the brands and the community. As the Fijian Drua looks forward to the new season, the support from Carve and Jack’s of Fiji undoubtedly strengthens their presence both on and off the field.
This collaboration also serves as a reminder of how sports can unite brands and communities, fostering positive relationships and promoting local interests.
