The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the Club’s Head of Sales, a newly established position that merges the previously distinct responsibilities of Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing. Vanuaca is a seasoned business development professional, bringing more than 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management to the team.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. Prior to joining the Fijian Drua, Vanuaca worked with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the country’s agency for international business development.
Shane Hussein, General Manager Commercial of the Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s arrival during this period of growth for the club. The organization is currently seeking to diversify its revenue sources while enhancing the fan experience in ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services. He stated that Vanuaca would collaborate closely with Angie Lal, the Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, to ensure accessibility and convenience for fans and corporate clients at every Drua event.
Vanuaca expressed his excitement about the opportunity, sharing that joining the Fijian Drua is a significant milestone for him and his family, and a dream come true, particularly as Super Rugby Pacific has been a beloved aspect of his upbringing.
