The Fijian Drua has officially appointed Josefa Vanuaca as the new Head of Sales, a role that integrates the responsibilities of ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship services. This position was created following the departure of former employees Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, who are pursuing new opportunities.
Vanuaca brings a wealth of expertise to the club, boasting over 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. Before joining the Drua, Vanuaca served at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
Shane Hussein, the General Manager of Commercial at Fijian Drua, expressed enthusiasm about Vanuaca’s appointment during this pivotal growth phase for the club. He noted that Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Angie Lal, the Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, to ensure that all events are accessible and enjoyable for fans and corporate clients alike. Hussein also extended gratitude to Biu and Lailanie for their foundational contributions to the club.
Vanuaca shared his excitement, stating that joining the Fijian Drua is a significant milestone not just for him but for his family, as Super Rugby Pacific has been an integral part of his upbringing.
Fans can look forward to the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season, with tickets and hospitality packages now available for home games, including the opening match against the Brumbies on February 15 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
