The Fijian Drua opened its doors to media and sponsors during its Media Content Day, shedding light on the excitement surrounding the upcoming rugby season. This event provided the Swire Shipping-sponsored men’s team with a unique platform for official photoshoots intended for both editorial and commercial use, alongside creating digital content for various media outlets.

Held at their homebase near Nadi International Airport, the day buzzed with activity as players engaged with media representatives and sponsors eager to generate impactful content. General Manager Commercial Shane Hussein emphasized the importance of this event, noting, “The Fijian Drua is a commercial entity. We can’t survive without the support and sponsorship of our partners, and this is a great day to give back to them.”

The occasion marked a key moment for the club, acting as a signal that the season is on the horizon. It also allowed players, including new additions and development team members, to fulfill crucial media and marketing commitments. Hussein acknowledged that the event was fundamental in achieving the commercial and financial objectives associated with their sponsorship deals.

The day concluded with a lively performance by vocalist Liz Vamarasi, who entertained the audience with her hits “Rawai” and “Vakadua,” a collaboration with Fijian rapper JU BEN. Looking ahead, the Fijian Drua will prepare for their pre-season trial match against the Chiefs in New Zealand at the end of the month, further building anticipation for the upcoming season.

The Media Content Day not only strengthened ties with the community but also showcased the enthusiasm and dedication of both the players and the support staff, setting a promising tone for the Fijian Drua’s future.
