Reverend Jeremaia Radrodro, Senior Pastor of Mt Zion Cathedral, has expressed strong optimism for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua as they prepare for the upcoming 2026 season. During a ceremony welcoming new CEO Jeff Miller at the Drua base, Rev Radrodro urged the players to keep their focus on God and to ignore any negativity that may come their way.
In his address, he drew a parallel between the team’s journey and the biblical tale of David and Goliath, emphasizing that even the most daunting obstacles can be conquered with faith and determination. “Resist the temptation to listen to negative words, and Drua will reach heights you’ve never experienced before this season,” he stated, encouraging the players to remain steadfast in their belief.
Rev Radrodro also reminded the athletes to always don their “full armor of God” in their pursuit of victory on the field. Following his motivational speech, he prayed over the team, reinforcing the idea that true strength comes from faith, perseverance, and unity. This message not only inspires hope among the players but also sets a positive direction for the Drua as they gear up for what is anticipated to be a groundbreaking year.
