Swire Shipping Fijian Drua co-captain Frank Lomani highlighted the importance of discipline and execution following their hard-fought victory against the Hurricanes in round 3 of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby season. Describing the match as both physical and filled with intense moments, Lomani acknowledged that the team had trained rigorously throughout the week in anticipation of a challenging encounter.

Lomani expressed confidence in the team’s strategy, stating, “We knew there were going to be a lot of scraps.” He emphasized that adhering to their game plan and focusing on execution were pivotal elements leading into the match. He reiterated, “We had that in our plan just to make sure that we’d spoken about execution the whole week.”

The co-captain believes that the players rose to the occasion, effectively implementing their training when it counted the most. “I think the boys turned up today and really executed. We had a plan, we came, we executed and that’s probably how we got the win,” Lomani explained, underscoring the team’s commitment and the work put in during practice.

With their latest victory behind them, the Drua will enjoy a bye in the next round before facing the Brumbies in Ba on the 14th of this month, giving the squad an opportunity to recharge and prepare for what’s ahead. The team’s dedication and strong performance reflect a positive trajectory for the upcoming games in the season.
