The Fijian Drua has announced the appointment of Jeff Miller, a World Cup-winning Wallaby, as the new Chief Executive Officer. Miller will assume the role in January 2026, succeeding the current CEO, Mark Evans, who has completed his three-year tenure and plans to return to the UK. Evans has been pivotal in enhancing the Drua’s stature, notably expanding the fanbase and developing the women’s team.

Jeff Miller, who boasts a formidable rugby career with 26 international caps and significant achievements including the 1991 World Cup victory, brings a wealth of experience from his roles in rugby administration and the finance sector. His previous positions include CEO and President of the Queensland Rugby Union and senior executive roles at Rugby Australia, as well as financial roles at firms like Investec and Avant Finance. He also holds an MBA from the University of New South Wales.

Fijian Drua Chairman Brent Impey expressed confidence in Miller’s unique blend of rugby and corporate expertise, considering it crucial for the young club’s growth and long-term success. Impey’s optimistic outlook emphasizes that Miller’s appointment represents an exciting new chapter for the Drua. Miller himself, deeply honored by the role, acknowledges the club’s significance in Fijian rugby and is eager to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure its continued success and development of Fijian talent.

The leadership transition is poised to build on the foundations laid by Evans, steering the Fijian Drua on a path to becoming a world-class rugby organization. With Miller’s extensive background, the club aims to further solidify its position both within Fiji and on the international stage, promising an enriching future for Fijian rugby and its community.
