Fijian Drua Chief Executive Mark Evans expressed his pride in welcoming PAFCO, a well-known brand in Fiji for over half a century. He highlighted the significant role PAFCO has played in the country’s economy and the nostalgia associated with its long-standing presence. “It is wonderful for us to welcome an organization like the Pacific Fishing Company to our family of sponsors,” Evans stated. He conveyed gratitude for their support of the Fijian Drua.

Similarly, PAFCO Chief Executive Saiyad Raiyum emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Fijian Drua rugby. He expressed pride in their association with the team and excitement about becoming a nutritional partner for the Drua teams. “We are proud to be associated with the Fijian Drua and support our teams in the Super Rugby Pacific competition,” said Raiyum.

The tournament will feature eight teams, including two from the Drua and six provincial teams. Pool A includes Fijian Drua Blue, Yasawa Rugby, Nadroga Rugby, and Lautoka Rugby, while Pool B features Fijian Drua White, Malolo Rugby, Nadi Rugby, and Ba Rugby. Additionally, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s team will participate with two internal matches.

Scheduled for December 13th at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, this tournament promises to be an exciting day for rugby fans, fostering community spirit and showcasing local talent.

With the Sun Bell Drua 10s tournament, there is great potential for growth in Fijian rugby, offering a platform for emerging athletes while strengthening the collaboration between local businesses and sports. Such initiatives not only enhance recreational opportunities but also contribute to the overall development of rugby in Fiji.
