Fiji Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne is delighted to see Fijian Drua and overseas-based players forging a strong bond ahead of their crucial match against the All Blacks in San Diego next weekend.

Byrne noted that the players are deeply connected, and the special bonding in camp has significantly boosted their spirits.

He mentioned that the players show great respect for each other, creating a sense of unity and brotherhood where every member supports one another both on and off the field.

“There is a lot of positivity in the camp, and the energy levels are definitely high. The Fijian players are known for their constant smiles and happiness, so the morale is certainly high as we refine our strategies to face the All Blacks,” Byrne said.

The former Fijian Drua coach believes that significant test matches like the one against the All Blacks will better prepare the national team for future challenges, including the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The Flying Fijians will play New Zealand at 3am next Saturday (Fiji Time).
