The first leg of the Fijian Cup concluded today at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, wrapping up an exciting two-day touch rugby competition.

In the fiercely contested Open Men’s final, Wairere emerged victorious over Elementz with a narrow score of 6-5, successfully defending their title for the third consecutive year. Similarly, the Royalty team triumphed in the Open Women’s finals, defeating Fullsend 4-3 and also securing their third straight championship.

In other categories, the Pakas team faced a challenging match against 2 Fresh in the Mixed Open category, ultimately losing 1-7. The day concluded with the Mixed Masters final, where 2 Fresh again showcased their skill by winning 7-5 against Taranaki.

As excitement builds following two days of high-level competition, the Fijian Cup is set to continue next week with the second leg, featuring rugby sevens.
