Fijian cruiserweight boxing champion Alivereti Kauyaca showcased his skills at the Fight Night IV event in New Zealand on Saturday. Kauyaca secured a unanimous decision victory over Kiwi boxer and MMA fighter Remus Leaf in a bout that lasted four rounds.

This match marked Kauyaca’s debut on the international stage as he gears up for a significant matchup against New Zealand cruiserweight champion John Parker next month.

In a post on his social media, the former Queen Victoria School student expressed gratitude to those who came out to support him. “God bless to my old boys and family who came from far away to provide the much-needed support. Your cheer amongst the loud Kiwi crowd echoed in my ears,” Kauyaca shared. He added, “7th September. We are going to dance much better.”

Kauyaca, known as the ‘Hitman’, will face Parker on September 7 for the WBO Oceania cruiserweight title in Hamilton. The 30-year-old signed with CTP Boxing Promotions in March and currently trains under manager and coach Farmaan Ali in New Zealand.
