The Fiji Young Kulas will kick off their journey in the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup against Brazil tomorrow, driven by clear objectives.

Assistant Coach Annette Nainima expressed the team’s desire to perform admirably and achieve their first-ever World Cup goal. She described the occasion as a significant and proud moment for everyone involved, including the players and officials.

“This is our first ever World Cup, and being able to share this experience with our families and loved ones is monumental, particularly since many never believed the Fiji women’s team could reach this level. Yet, here we are,” Nainima shared with OFC Media.

She added that their families back home are eager to cheer them on and will be watching the games live.

Fiji will face Brazil in their opening match at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 1, followed by a game against Canada at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, and a match against France at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, all scheduled for Fiji time.
