The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas have completed their warm-up matches and are now focused on the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, where they will compete against powerhouse teams Brazil, France, and Canada.
Coach Angeline Chua emphasized the need for the team to strengthen their defense while maximizing their scoring opportunities in preparation for the competition.
“We’ll be focusing on our defensive strategies, especially considering the caliber of the teams we’ll be facing,” Chua noted. “At the same time, we’ll work on capitalizing on any chances to score. It’s going to be a tough tournament, but we’re ready to give it our all.”
The team is set to depart for Colombia tomorrow, carrying the hopes of the nation as they prepare to make their mark on the global stage.
