As the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues, the Digicel Fiji Young Kulas are gaining important insights from each match, according to midfielder Talei Moodie.
“This level of soccer is entirely different,” Moodie said, reflecting on the team’s experience. “This is our first time here, so we anticipated facing new challenges. It’s a valuable learning opportunity, and I believe it will inspire us as we move forward.”
Following a difficult match that ended in a 9-0 defeat to Canada, Head Coach Angelina Chua praised her team’s determination and courage, particularly in the second half.
“We regroup and aim to always improve from the last game,” Chua remarked. “We play football to score goals, and that will remain our focus.”
Looking ahead, the Young Kulas are preparing to take on France in their final match of the tournament this Saturday.
