The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas faced a tough challenge in their second match at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, suffering a 0-9 defeat to a powerful Canadian team.

Despite their determined effort, similar to their display against Brazil, the Canadian team proved to be too strong. Canada quickly established dominance, leading 7-0 at halftime.

Even with the challenging scoreline, 15-year-old Fijian goalkeeper Aliana Vakaloloma shone with several important saves, demonstrating talent amid the adversity.

Fiji’s defense, while trying to be strong, found it difficult to cope with the relentless assaults from Canadian players.

The Fiji Young Kulas are now set to prepare for their final group stage match against France.
