The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas faced a tough challenge in their second match at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, suffering a 0-9 defeat against a strong Canadian team.

Despite a spirited effort reminiscent of their performance against Brazil, the power of the Canadian squad proved too much. Canada established dominance early on, leading 7-0 by halftime.

Though the scoreline was one-sided, 15-year-old Fijian goalkeeper Aliana Vakaloloma made several impressive saves, exhibiting her potential despite the difficult match conditions.

Fiji’s defense, while determined, struggled to cope with the relentless attacks from the Canadian side. The Fiji Young Kulas will now turn their attention to their final group stage match against France.
