A total of 19,359 Year 8 students are set to take the Fiji Year Eighth Examination today at 717 centers. Acting Minister for Education and Minister for Fisheries and Forests, Alitia Bainivalu, emphasized that this examination is not only a gauge of knowledge and skills but also a reflection of hard work and dedication. She acknowledged that preparing for exams can bring about various emotions, including excitement and anticipation.
Bainivalu encouraged students to have confidence in their studies and reminded them that this exam is merely one step in their educational journey. Similarly, Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu urged students to believe in their abilities and to remain calm and self-assured during the examination. He stressed the significance of resilience and determination, motivating Year 8 students to maintain their focus.
Both ministers appealed to parents, guardians, and teachers to offer crucial support, ensuring that students can fully concentrate during this important time.
