The provisional results for Fiji’s Year Eight Examination will be announced tomorrow, November 22. These results will remain provisional for 30 days, allowing students the chance to request a mark recount for a fee of $5 per subject or a remark for $25 per subject.
This year, 18,968 students took the examination, which was conducted across 712 centers. The Ministry of Education has reported a 69% pass rate for 2024, showing a slight increase from the 67% pass rate in 2023.
Students will be able to access their results at www.examresults.gov.fj by entering their unique examination identification number and personal credentials. For those who face challenges in obtaining their results online, there will be support available at their respective schools or District Education Offices starting from 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has expressed congratulations and gratitude to all students, parents, guardians, teachers, school management committees, and ancillary staff for their commitment and hard work throughout the educational process. The Ministry also encourages families and educators to support students in making informed decisions about their academic and career futures.
This year’s increase in the pass rate reflects the dedication of the educational community in Fiji and signals a positive trend for students’ academic success. With the additional opportunity for recounts and remarks, students are given a fair chance to ensure their scores accurately reflect their efforts.
