A remarkable 95 percent pass rate has been achieved in this year’s Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination, signaling a notable enhancement in national academic performance. Education Minister Aseri Radrodro announced that 8,646 students participated in this year’s examination, demonstrating an upward trend from 2024, which saw a pass rate of 89 percent among 8,604 candidates.

The Minister attributed the improved results to ongoing initiatives within the education sector aimed at bolstering teaching, learning, and student support at the senior secondary level. He highlighted this year’s results as a pivotal moment in students’ academic journeys, establishing a solid groundwork for their future educational and career endeavors.

In addition, Minister Radrodro commended the progress made by 11 government and non-government secondary schools, with 50 institutions achieving a remarkable 100 percent pass rate. This marks a significant increase from just 10 schools that accomplished this feat last year.

Radrodro emphasized the essential role of educators and families in fostering student growth and encouraging learners to reach their full potential. The collective effort of the community in supporting education is vital for continued progress in academic excellence. This year’s results provide a hopeful outlook for Fiji’s educational landscape, inspiring future generations to pursue their academic goals with confidence.
