Queens from across the Pacific have arrived in Nadi, setting an exciting atmosphere as Fiji prepares to host the much-anticipated Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2026. After a decade since Fiji crowned a Miss Pacific Islands in 2016, the nation is eager to reclaim its prominent position on the regional stage.
Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei shared her enthusiasm, underscoring the importance of this event for both Fiji and the broader Pacific region. “We’re thrilled to welcome seven other Pacific Island countries to Fiji. This week we’ll showcase the best of our cultures, promote friendship, and give our queens a chance to shine on a truly international platform,” she stated.
The arrival of the queens marks the beginning of a vibrant week filled with glamour, culture, and camaraderie. Scheduled activities include team-building exercises and behind-the-scenes glimpses of pageant preparations, providing fans with an exclusive look into the creation of a spectacular Pacific production.
In a nod to Pacific traditions, the celebrations also include honoring God, with the highlight being White Sunday, reflecting the community spirit so prevalent in the region. Audiences will have multiple opportunities to engage with the event, as FBC TV will broadcast the pageant live, and it will also be streamed on the VT Plus platform, reaching viewers in 16 countries.
Tickets for the event are available through Ticket Max, and Tuiketei encourages Fijians to come out and show their support for their queen, declaring, “cheer your queen on” as Fiji shines brightly on the regional stage.
With all contestants now in Nadi, the stage is set for intense competition. Team Fiji, led by Miss Fiji Ailava Samuel, is reportedly disciplined and poised, though they are aware of the strong opposition from regional rivals. Tuiketei emphasized that this pageant celebrates not just friendship and cultural pride but also aims to showcase the best aspects of Fiji.
As the official date for the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant approaches, the excitement in Nadi is tangible. The Pacific community is watching closely as Fiji welcomes its queens, eagerly anticipating who will be crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2026.
