Fijian 7s utility forward Ponipate Loganimasi is poised to make his test debut for the Flying Fijians, having been called up as a replacement for the injured winger Selestino Ravutaumada.

Loganimasi, known for his consistent performances on the international 7s scene, typically plays as a winger in the 15s format. He has been enlisted as injury cover ahead of the Flying Fijians’ Pacific Nations Cup semifinal against the United States.

National Coach Mick Byrne confirmed the adjustment, stating, “Stino is currently being monitored after undergoing shoulder surgery last Monday, and he will be unavailable for a few weeks.”

Byrne also mentioned that Ravutaumada will start rehabilitation to ensure a complete recovery before rejoining the Fiji squad for future fixtures.

The match is set to take place tomorrow night at 10:05 PM.
