Hon. Sashi Kiran has officially taken her oath as Fiji’s new Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection. The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by His Excellency the President, Turaga Bale Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, at the State House.
Kiran succeeds Lynda Tabuya in this vital role and was previously serving as the Assistant Minister to Tabuya. With a strong background in social work, Kiran is the founder of FRIEND Fiji (the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development), an NGO based in Lautoka that plays a crucial role in community development.
