Public Service Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada has officially announced the appointment of Parmesh Chand as Fiji’s new Ambassador to Japan. Mr. Chand, who currently holds the position of permanent secretary for the Civil Service, will be taking over the role from Filimoni Waqabaca. Mr. Waqabaca is transitioning to become the chief executive officer of the Fiji Development Bank, with his new role set to begin on January 15.
