Fiji Welcomes Back Defender for World Cup Qualifiers!

Experienced defender Kavaia Rawaqa has been named in Fiji’s squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Rawaqa returns to the national team after a long absence to replace Mosese Nabose, who has withdrawn from the lineup due to personal commitments.

Additionally, Suva striker Merrill Nand and Ba forward Etonia Dogalau, who were not included in previous selections, have also been added to the squad. Under the guidance of coach Rob Sherman, the Fiji team is set to begin its campaign against the Solomon Islands at 7pm on Thursday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The full Fiji squad includes Isikeli Sevanaia, Akuila Mateisuva, Jerome Narayan, Ivan Kumar, Samuela Kautoga, Gabriel Matanisiga, Filipe Baravilala, Kavaia Rawaqa, Epeli Leiroti, Sterling Vasconcellos, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Setareki Hughes, Leroy Jennings, Aporosa Yada, Tevita Waranaivalu, Merrill Nand, Dave Radrigai, Rahul Krishna, Sairusi Nalaubu, Roy Krishna, Thomas Dunn, Nabil Begg, and Etonia Dogalau.
