InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has been chosen as the venue for the AdventureNEXT Fiji conference scheduled for November. This event, organized in partnership with Tourism Fiji and the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), is a significant step in enhancing Fiji’s reputation as a top destination for adventure travel.
Lachlan Walker, Portfolio General Manager of IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed excitement about hosting the conference, stating that ATTA’s emphasis on sustainability and exceptional experiences aligns with their own commitment to responsible travel and creating remarkable experiences.
Nestled on the scenic Natadola Bay, the resort is noted for its luxurious offerings and rich cultural heritage, making it an ideal location for the conference.
The agenda for the conference includes keynote speakers, workshops, and familiarization trips showcasing Fiji’s adventure activities, stunning landscapes, and cultural traditions. Participants, including tour operators, travel agents, and media from around the globe, will have opportunities to explore Fiji’s unique adventure experiences.
AdventureNEXT aims to highlight emerging destinations in the adventure travel sector and provide local suppliers with a platform to connect with international buyers and media through a comprehensive tour operator marketplace.
The two-day event will occur from November 20-22 and is anticipated to contribute over $1 million to Fiji’s visitor economy.
