The national coach of the Fiji Weightlifting team, Henry Elder, has stated that there were no disciplinary issues within the team. Elder made this comment on the final day of the 2024 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships, which took place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva last Saturday.
He emphasized that the camp proceeded without any problems, and such issues are sometimes encountered in sports teams. Elder noted the importance of maintaining discipline, attributing it to the team’s spiritual commitment.
Elder expressed gratitude for the absence of disciplinary problems, acknowledging a reliance on spiritual guidance for inspiration and strength.
The competition saw participation from 24 Fijian weightlifters.
