Hold onto your hats, folks! A Strong Wind Warning is still blowing through the coastal areas of Beqa, Vatulele, Qelelevu, Lau, and Lomaiviti. But don’t worry—if you’re elsewhere in the southeastern parts of Viti Levu, Rakiraki, Kadavu, Yasawa, southern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and nearby islands, you can breathe a sigh of relief because the winds have decided to take a day off in your neighbourhood.
So, what’s going on? A friendly southeasterly wind is blowing its way over our lovely islands, and here’s the scoop on what’s expect to midnight tomorrow:
For the coastal beauties of Beqa, Vatulele, Qelelevu, Lau, and Lomaiviti:
Get ready for southeast winds dancing up to 45 km/hr, with gusts trying their best to soar to 60 km/hr before simmering down later today. Keep an eye on those rough seas and expect some cloudy periods with a few showers tossing around. And yes, it’s going to be cool at night—perfect for snuggling up with a hot drink!
For the interior and coastal areas of southeastern Viti Levu (think Serua/Namosi through Navua to Suva up to Korovoui), Kadavu, and the interior and southern parts of Vanua Levu:
You guessed it—cloudy periods will tag along, along with some sporadic showers. Thankfully, these will ease up to brief showers tomorrow. Expect a cool night as well, because who doesn’t love a fresh breeze while they sleep? Just brace for moderate southeast winds that might surprise you with a flare of freshness.
For the rest of our beautiful Fiji:
Mainly fine, which is just the way we love it! But expect those cool nights to keep you company.
Now, what does Saturday have in store?
Prepare for those cloud cases to drop some brief showers over Navua, Suva, Nausori, Korovou, Rakiraki, Serua, Namosi, and southern Bua-Cakaudrove. Lucky for everyone else? A fine day is on the agenda.
