Weather Bulletin

Attention, weather watchers! It’s Thursday, December 18, 2025, and your weather forecast has arrived right on time.

Get ready for a soggy adventure as we expect occasional showers, courtesy of Mother Nature, with an extra sprinkle of drama in the form of isolating heavy falls and thunderstorms especially over Vanua Levu and Northern Lau. The eastern Viti Levu regions (we’re looking at you, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu-Ra) will also see their fair share of clouds and showers. Other areas might feel left out of the rain party, showing off some sunshine, but don’t get too comfortable—afternoon or evening showers could crash your plans. Keep those umbrellas handy!

If you happen to be in lower spots, be aware that persistent heavy rain could lead to some uninvited flash flooding—definitely not the kind of splash you want at the beach. As for our winds, they’ll be moderate to fresh from the southeast, getting a little feisty in the vicinity of those heavy showers and thunderstorms. And brace yourself if you’re out at sea; the waves will be moderate to rough, so maybe hold off on any extreme surfing today.

So let’s talk about Saturday! We can expect the same thrilling weather storyline: occasional showers with heavy falls and thunderstorms, mostly targeting the same VIP locations. Viti Levu’s eastern side, Vanua Levu, and the lovely Lau and Lomaiviti groups are poised to take the brunt. And for everyone else? Just part-time clouds and a few showers, with afternoon or evening thunderstorms that could hit just when you were thinking of enjoying a calm evening.

Now, let’s break it down region by region:

For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect some company from clouds and showers today (Max: 29). Tomorrow, you’ll be cozying up to temps between 23 and 28. Saturday’s forecast? More showers with some thunderous applause.

Natadradave/Korovou: Also cloud-covered, but hey, you like to keep it fresh at a comfy 29 degrees today. Tomorrow brings 23 to 29 on the thermometer. Saturday? Rinse and repeat with the rainy business.

Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Looking good, it’s fine today with a max of 31 but don’t get too relaxed; those afternoon showers could surprise you. Tomorrow will have similar temperatures and Saturday promises a few clouds with a splash of rain.

Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Finish off 31 today, but watch that sky for afternoon sogginess. Tomorrow’s a rinse and repeat, and Saturday suggests the clouds might just hang around a bit longer.

Tavua/Rakiraki: Today’s cloudy, but it’ll warm up to a cozy 31. Like your friends, the rain will come back tomorrow and Saturday with similar temps.

Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Soak up 31 today; it’s like being on holiday (with a chance of showers).

Labasa: Rain’s visiting you today, bringing in the thunderstorms with a high of 31. Saturday stays on theme with more showers.

Savusavu and Nabouwalu: Thunderstorms are in the forecast for you too! Both reaching up to 31 this afternoon and bringing alike stories and temperatures for Saturday.

Taveuni: Expect occasional showers and thunderstorms gracing your day with a comfortable 31 degrees. A similar saga unfolds for Saturday.

Lau and Lomaiviti group: Occasional rain is your best friend, joining you at 31 degrees today. Tomorrow welcomes another chance for showers.

Kadavu: Today, you’ll see a few clouds and maybe the elements playing nice with 31. The weekend forecast sticks to its game plan with in-and-out clouds.

Rotuma: You’ve got a chilly spill of rain in the air, but it’ll clear up eventually—stay resilient. Today’s high is 28, with a slightly modified forecast for Saturday.

That’s your forecast, folks! So gear up for the weather show today and be sure to bring your umbrella along for the ride! You never know when a shower might pop up—a surprise guest in your sunny day! Stay safe and dry out there!
