Good news, folks! That pesky heavy rain warning for Viti Levu has been canceled. You can now enjoy your cup of coffee without fearing it will be washed away in a torrential downpour—at least for now!

Current Situation: We have a weak trough of low pressure hanging around like a guest who overstays their welcome. This means some clouds and showers will continue to sprinkle their way across our beautiful islands for the next few days. So, grab your umbrellas, just in case!

Here’s what we can expect today for the Fiji group:
– Occasional showers will be flirting with the eastern half of Viti Levu (think Serua/Namosi through Navua, Suva to Nausori, and even up into Tailevu and Naitasiri), along with Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands. Rain might just elevate its game starting tomorrow, so keep those umbrellas nearby!
– A cloudy day with some showers in Cakaudrove and southern Bua—if you like variety, today is your day!
– Elsewhere? Smooth sailing with only a chance of afternoon or evening showers.
– Be ready for some show-stopping thunderstorms with heavy falls on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu—flash flooding could crash the party in low-lying areas.

Expect moderate easterly winds and seas that are just moderate enough to not steal your floaties!

Looking ahead to Friday:
The east will see occasional rain and a few thunderstorms, particularly over Lau, Lomaiviti, and parts of Viti Levu that like to live on the edge (that’s Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, and Ra). More cloudiness will hang over Cakaudrove and southern Bua.
– If you’re elsewhere, expect some cozy cloud cover with afternoon thunderstorms that may just shake things up—isolated heavy falls could make things exciting!
– And yes, more possibilities for flash flooding, so keep your wellies handy.

Regional Rundown:
– **Navua/Suva/Nausori**: Expect the usual mix of occasional showers and the odd thunderstorm that likes to drop heavy falls.
– **Nadi/Lautoka/Ba**: Generally fine except for a few cheeky afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: Similar to Nadi—mainly fine but watch for those sneaky afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
– **Tavua/Rakiraki**: Don’t let your guard down! Occasional showers and storms, particularly in Rakiraki.
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca**: A pretty laid-back day, aside from some isolated afternoon or evening rainstorms.
– **Labasa**: Generally fine, but watch out for those afternoon thrills!
– **Savusavu**: Cloudy periods ahead; afternoon thunderstorms swinging by for a surprise visit.
– **Lau/Lomaiviti**: Same as before—occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms to keep things interesting.
– **Kadavu**: Showers and storms might make an appearance—stay alert!
– **Rotuma**: It’s a cloudy day with showers and hints of thunderstorms on the horizon. Just a heads-up, an easterly wind will keep things breezy and potentially rough.

So there you have it: a day filled with a mix of sunshine, some clouds, occasional showers, and thunderstorms—Fiji keeps things lively, doesn’t it? Stay dry and keep that sense of humor high!
