Weather Alert
Brought to you courtesy of the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 10:45 AM on our not-so-humid Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Hold onto your hats, folks! A low pressure trough has decided to crash the party over our beautiful islands, bringing along a cloud cover, some rain, and a chance of your laundry getting an unexpected rinse. This delightful weather shindig is set to stick around until late today when a cool southerly breeze will swoosh in, like a fresh mint on a fancy dessert.
Here’s what you can expect until midnight tomorrow across the Fiji group:
Today:
Occasional rain will be throwing splash parties over the Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Yasawa, and Mamanuca regions. Keep your rubber duckies handy as there’s a chance of isolated heavy falls that could lead to some uninvited puddles in the low-lying areas. If you’re anywhere else, it’ll just be a cloudy day with regular showers, but hey, at least it’s cool at night—let’s hear it for open windows!
Tomorrow:
Expect the clouds to maintain their position as they play shady, with some showers over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. The good news? It will be mainly fine elsewhere. As for the temperatures, it’s still cool in the evening, so you can cozy up with an extra blanket.
Outlook for Friday: We’ll likely see those occasional showers and heavy falls over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra. It seems they love the attention! Cloudy periods (because they’re shy) will occur over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Kadavu, and surrounding isles.
