Weather Update!
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre, Nadi
At 7:54 am on a fine Monday morning, the 15th of December 2025

Grab your umbrellas and galoshes folks because we have a HEAVY RAIN ALERT for the entire Fiji group! It’s a flash flooding fiesta out there, so consider this your official warning to stay on high ground – or at least away from the nearest puddle. The weather gods have sent a shallow low pressure system dancing near Kadavu and it’s got plans to spread its rainy charms across the southern parts of our beautiful islands in the days to come.

Right now, the clouds are looking a bit moody and showers are expected to keep everyone on their toes – we’re talking about occasional downpours, some of which are heavier than that last math exam you barely passed. And yes, mother nature sprinkled in a few thunderstorms for the dramatic effect!

For today, expect occasional rain that will be heavy enough to make a dolphin jealous, with a dash of thunderstorms to spice things up. The winds are going to be moderately north to northwest – think of them as your breezy companions, fresh and gusty during heavy rain showers. And hey, if you’re thinking about a sea escape, be ready for some moderate to rough conditions out on the water.
