Weather Update

Greetings, weather enthusiasts and lovers of delightful downpours!

As of 2:22 PM today, we have an exciting forecast fresh from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, and it looks like Mother Nature is planning a big splash party for most of the Fiji group! So, grab your biggest umbrella and your floaties because a **HEAVY RAIN ALERT** is in play.

Those along the coasts of Lau and Lomaiviti, prepare for a bit of coastal hugging from the waves – a **COASTAL INUNDATION ALERT** is in effect. Thankfully, the flood-watch has been called off for areas including Sigatoka, the Coral Coast and others. Take a breather, folks, you can put away your life jackets… for now.

Here’s what we have brewing: a trough of low pressure is strutting its stuff and bringing along some feisty clouds and raindrops from the west. Expect a moist northern breeze to kick in tomorrow afternoon that may just jazz up your traditional Fiji experience!

Get ready for occasional rain and maybe a bit of thunder to spice things up from tomorrow afternoon until Saturday morning. So for anyone planning leisurely outdoor activities—say goodbye to sunbathing and hello to puddle splashing!

Forecasters predict the following shortly, so take notes:

**For coastal areas of Lau and Lomaiviti:** Beware of sea flooding during high tides! Today, expect cloudy patches with some rain wants to crash the party over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and a few more invited guests from Tailevu-Naitasiri and beyond. But don’t fret! It’s looking considerably fine elsewhere.

**Tomorrow’s forecast:** Rain will start rolling in from the west and northern parts of Fiji, intending to spread its wet love everywhere by the afternoon, with heavy showers and some thunderous clapping included.

**Looking to Friday:** You can count on occasional rain, heavy at times—don’t worry, the thunder will still be around for that dramatic weather effect.

**So here’s the mini breakdown for specific areas:**

– **Navua/Suva/Nausori:** Say hello to clouds with rain looking for a new home! Heavy rains and a bit of thunder are expected starting tomorrow afternoon.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast:** Sea levels might get a little cheeky during high tides! Other than the occasional flirt with the rain, fine conditions are expected today.
– **Nadi/Lautoka/Ba:** You’ll be enjoying fine weather today, but expect rain’s grand entrance tomorrow afternoon.
– **Tavua/Rakiraki:** They’re sunny now, but stay tuned for sporadic rain that’ll come crashing in tomorrow too.
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca:** Fine weather will have guests, but rain is on the RSVP list for tomorrow afternoon through Friday.
– **Rotuma:** Strong winds are blowing, and rough seas accompanied by occasional showers – it’s definitely not a day for a small sail!

So to sum up, embrace your stylish rain gear and get ready for a wet welcome from Mother Nature. Whether you love puddles or prefer to stay dry, this weather promises to keep things interesting, so stay tuned and stay safe!
