Weather Update

Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, on this lovely Saturday morning, August 9th, 2025.

What’s the scoop? Well, we have a cool, dry breeze sweeping through Fiji—think of it as nature’s way of offering us some refreshing air conditioning. By later today, expect that breeze to shift direction like it’s deciding on which restaurant to choose for dinner—heading southeasterly.

Now, what’s on the menu for the weather until midnight tomorrow? A delightful serving of mostly fine weather, with a side of brief showers sprinkled over Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Kadavu, and a few other smaller islands that are too shy to be named individually. The rest of the forecast looks mainly fine, so get ready for some cool nights—perfect for cozying up with a hot drink and contemplating the mysteries of the universe, like why socks disappear in the wash.

Expect some moderate southerly winds, which will later ease into the southeast. Seas? Well, they’re moderate too—so boaters, keep that in mind and maybe skip the high-speed chase for today.

For Monday’s outlook, the clouds are feeling a little social and are bringing some showers to Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, and so on. But don’t sweat it! The sun is still expected to shine elsewhere (and you might still have a chance to show off that pristine new outfit). Another cool night is on the way, with gentle east to northeast winds stirring things up a bit.

Let’s break it down region by region:
