Weather Alert: The Current Fijian Forecast

Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 3:30 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Hold onto those umbrellas, folks! A weak trough of low pressure is drifting away from Fiji like that one friend who always leaves the party just when the fun starts. In the meantime, our good old east to southeast winds are here to keep us company.

As we look toward midnight tomorrow, expect cloudy skies with the occasional shower giving Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups—and even Kadavu and the nearby smaller islands—a damp embrace. The rest of you can enjoy partly cloudy skies with a sprinkle of isolated brief showers, while nights promise a cool, refreshing breeze.

And for those daring to hit the seas—sorry, it’s going to be a bit rough out there.

Now, let’s peek into what Monday has in store for us: More cloud cover with a sprinkle of showers over the same regions mentioned earlier. You’re welcome for the continuity! The rest of the islands can expect some sunshine, with possibly a shy, isolated shower sneaking in during the afternoon or evening. Cool nights are here again—as if organized by a weather committee that just loves to keep us chilled!

Now, let’s break it down by region.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect cloudy skies with showers so frequent they might as well move in. Today’s Max: 26. Tomorrow’s forecast shows a minimum of 18 and a maximum reaching back to 26.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Partly cloudy with brief showers trying to steal the spotlight. Today’s Max: 29, while tomorrow holds a min of 19 and a max of 29.

Sigatoka/Coral Coast: It’s a lovely little world of partly cloudy joy, with potential brief showers trying to crash the party. Today’s Max: 30, tomorrow’s range is 19 to 30.

Tavua/Rakiraki: Same story, with some isolated sprinkles threatening to interrupt your sunbathing. Today’s Max: 30, tomorrow’s min will be 18 and max 30.

For Natadradave/Korovou: Expect some clouds and showers, just to keep you guessing. Today’s Max: 27, with tomorrow’s min and max staying 19 and 27.

For the Yasawa/Mamanuca group: The party continues with partly cloudy skies and potentially brief sprinkle shenanigans. Today’s Max: 30, with tomorrow’s weather flopping between a min of 19 and max of 30.

Labasa and Savusavu: Both places will be dancing the cloud and shower shuffle, with Savusavu boasting today’s max of 28 and a similar forecast for tomorrow.

Lastly, for Rotuma: Brace yourself! You’re still under the influence of a pesky trough of low pressure, with occasional rain and a few thunderstorm surprises. Expect today’s max of 28, with tomorrow’s min and max at 24 and 28.

So, there you have it! Keep those cozy blankets close for the cool nights, and don’t forget your umbrellas during the day. Weathering the storms has never been more entertaining!
