Weather Forecast (Because Who Doesn’t Love Talking About the Weather?)
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026
Situation: It’s like the sky’s been binge-watching dramas, and now it can’t decide whether to shower or shine. We have a trough of low pressure lurking over the eastern parts of Fiji with the possibility of showers joining the party, while a friendly breeze from the south to northeast is blowing through the land. So, let’s get our umbrellas and sunglasses ready!
Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Prepare your raincoats and boats, folks! We’re expecting occasional showers along with some heavy downpours trying to steal the show over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and their smaller island buddies, as well as Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and their little hangouts. Persistent heavy rains might just decide to turn low-lying areas into their personal swimming pools!
For those in Sigatoka-Korolevu, expect to see some cloudy moments, possibly with showers – because moderation is key! As for everyone else, enjoy a fine day with just a sprinkle of afternoon or evening showers and the occasional thunderstorm crash party.
Winds will be hanging out at a moderate to fresh pace, so if you’ve ever wanted to see your hat fly off, now’s your chance! The seas are moderate to rough – the perfect conditions for a thrilling sea adventure or perhaps a well-deserved nap on the beach.
Outlook for Monday: The showers and heavy falls we love will continue to make their rounds in Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and Taveuni, among others. It’s roughly the same party as Sunday, just with a little more rain and potential flash floods. On the bright side, apart from the drizzle, expect some fine weather elsewhere – just watch out for the occasional storms looking to rain on your parade.
